• Occupation. Worked as a linesman for Bell Canada. Pole fell on him and injured his back. Most of his career was in the government in Ottawa. He worked as a draftsman on the map of Canada. He spent the latter part of his career at Indian Affairs. He retired early when his youngest son was killed in a car accident. He worked as an actor on stage and in film, commercials for 20 years. Ill health and memory problems forced him to retire in his seventies. The years he was bringing up his family, he had two jobs, one playing drums in Wilf Stebner's band at the Chateau Laurier Grill in Ottawa, every Saturday and Sunday night. He also sang with bands around Ottawa. He sang in the Orpheus Theatre's productions and did many plays at the Ottawa Little Theatre.

Francis married Phillis Claudia Tremblay, daughter of Leo NAPOLEON Tremblay and Margaret LOUISE McQuade, on 15 Nov 1947 in Ottawa, St Jean Baptiste Church. (Phillis Claudia Tremblay was born on 24 Jan 1924 in 506 Bronson Avenue Ottawa, died on 10 Jan 1984 in Toronto, Princess Margaret Hospital and was buried in Ottawa, Pinecrest Cemetary.) The cause of his death was breast cancer.
