1839. Robert I Count²⁶ Artois (Louis VIII King of²⁷ France, Philippe II King of²⁸, Louis VII King of²⁹, Louis VI King of³⁰, Philippe I King of³¹, Henry I of³², Robert II der Fromme³³, Hugues Capet King³⁴, Hugh Magnus of³⁵, Robert I King of³⁶, Robert the Strong, Duke³⁷) was born in Paris, Seine, France September 1216. Robert died February 8, 1249/1250 in Mussouri, Egypt, at age 33.

He married Mahaut Maud de Brabant June 14, 1237 in Compiegne, Syrie. Mahaut was born about 1224 in Brabant, France. Mahaut was the daughter of Henry II Duke Brabant and Marie de Swabia Princess of Germany. Mahaut died September 29, 1288 at age 64. Her body was interred in Cercamp Abbey, Artois, France.

Robert I Count Artois and Mahaut Maud de Brabant had the following children:

1840 i. Robert II Count²⁵ Artois was born AFT AUG 1250. Robert died July 11, 1302 in Kortrijk, at age unknown. His body was interred in Maubuisson, France. He married Amicie de Courtenay June 13, 1262 in Paris, Seine, France. Amicie was born 1250. Amicie died 1275 in Rome, Italy, at age 25. Her body was interred in St Peter, Rome, Italy.

+ 1706 ii. Blanche D Artois Princess was born 1245/1250.
