Louis died September 18, 1180 in Paris, Seine, France, at age 60. His body was interred in Barbeau.

He married three times. He married Eleanore Princess of Aquitaine July 22, 1137 in Bordeaux, France. Eleanore was born 1121/1122 in Bordeaux, France. Eleanore was the daughter of Guillaume X Duke Aquitaine and Eleanor de Chatellerault. Eleanore died March 31, 1204 in Fontevrault L Ab, Maine Et Loire, France, at age 81. Her body was interred in Fontevrault L Ab, Maine Et Loire, France. He married Constance, Princess of Castile Queen of France 1154 in Castile, Spain. Constance, was born about 1133 in Castile, Spain. Constance, was the daughter of Alfonso VII, King of Castile galicia and Berenguela of Barcelona Queen of Castile. Constance, died October 4, 1160 in Castile, Spain, at age 27. Her body was interred in St Denis, France. He married Alice, Countess of Champagne November 13, 1160. Alice, was born about 1140 in Blois, France. Alice, was the daughter of Thibaud IV II Champagne and Mathilde Maude Princess Carinthia. Alice, died June 4, 1206 in Paris, Seine, France, at age 65. Her body was interred in Pontigny Abbey, France.

Louis VII King of France and Eleanore Princess of Aquitaine had the following children:

2166 ii. Alix Princess of France was born in France 1150/1151. Alix died 1195 at age 44. She married Thibaud V Count Blois the Good 1164/1174. Thibaud was born about 1148. Thibaud died 1191 in Akkon, at age 43. His body was interred in Pontiguy.

Louis VII King of France and Constance, Princess of Castile Queen of France had the following children:

2437 iii. Marguerite, Princess of France Queen of Hungary was born in Paris, Seine, France 1158. Marguerite, died 1197 in St Jean D Acre, Galilee, Palestine, at age 39. She married twice. She married Henry King of England November 2, 1160 in Neubourg, Normandy. Other sources (Stammtafeln) show the marriage as having taken place on August 21, 1172.

Henry was born March 28, 1155 in Bermondsey, London, England. Henry was the son of Henry II King of England and Eleanore Princess of Aquitaine. Henry died June 11, 1183 in Mortel Castle, Turenne, Correze, France, at age 28. His body was interred after June 11, 1183 in Rouen, Seine Maritime, France. She married Bela III, King Hungary 1185. Bela was born about 1148 in Esztergom, K Eszt, Hungary. Bela was the son of Geza II, King of Hungary and Evfrosiniya, Princess of Kiev Queen of Hungary. Bela died April 23, 1196 at age 47. His body was interred in Szekesfehervar, Fejer, Hungary.

2438 iv. Adelais Princess of France was born in France 1160. Adelais died 1160 in Dy, France, at age unknown.

Alexios died September 24, 1183 at age 14. She married Andronikos I, Emperor Byzantine empire 1183/1184 in Paris, Seine, France. Andronikos was born about 1123 in Constantinople, Constantinople, Turkey. Andronikos died September 12, 1185 in Brinley, Constantinople, Turkey, at age 62. She married Theodoros Branas Lord of Andrinap 1204/1205. Theodoros was born about 1169.
