47. Martha⁴ Salter (James⁵) was born in Barrow-in-Furnace, Lancashire, England March 3, 1873. Martha died November 23, 1942 in Los Angeles, California, at age 69.

She married Anderson Cunningham (Andrew) Catherwood October 3, 1894 in Barrow-in-Furnace, Lancashire, England. Anderson was born January 6, 1870 in Belfast, Ireland. Anderson was the son of John James Catherwood and Agnes Cunningham. Anderson died December 22, 1929 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, at age 59. Her daughter Lucinda, on pointing to a photograph depicting Martha Salter with a big grin, remarked "she was always just like that; always pleasant."
