644. Samuel¹¹ Lathrop (John¹², Thomas (Lowthroppe)¹³, Robert¹⁴, John¹⁵)⁽⁷⁶³⁾ was born Egerton, Kent, England 1620.⁽⁷⁶⁴⁾ Samuel died February 27, 1700 in Norwich, New London, CT, at age 79.⁽⁷⁶⁵⁾

He married Elizabeth Scudder November 28, 1644 in Scituate, MA.⁽⁷⁶⁶⁾ Elizabeth was born 1622 Groton, Suffolk, England. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Scudder and Elizabeth Lowers.

Samuel immigrated to 1634. He was a judge, Barnstable County, 1643. He served in Major Williard's expedition against Ninigret in 1654, and he served with Lieutenant Avery in the expedition for the relief of Uncas, 1659(?). He had a grandson, Dr. Daniel Lathrop who, with his brother Dr. Joshua Lathrop, created the first drug store in Connecticut. Joshua had graduated from Yale University in 1743. The brothers Lathrop had an apprentice in their shop, the infamous Benedict Arnold. (see Trilogy, pp. 177-178)

Samuel Lathrop and Elizabeth Scudder had the following children:

646 iii. Samuel Lathrop⁽⁷⁶⁸⁾ was born in Norwich, New London, CT March 1650/1651.

647 iv. Sarah Lathrop⁽⁷⁶⁹⁾ was born in Norwich, New London, CT October 1655.

648 v. Martha Lathrop⁽⁷⁷⁰⁾ was born in Norwich, New London, CT January 1657/1658.

+ 453 vi. Israel Lathrop was born October 1659.

649 vii. Joseph Lathrop⁽⁷⁷¹⁾ was born in Norwich, New London, CT October 1661.

650 viii. Abigaiell Lathrop⁽⁷⁷²⁾ was born in Norwich, New London, CT May 1665.

651 ix. Anne Lathrop⁽⁷⁷³⁾ was born in Norwich, New London, CT August 1667. She married William Hough in New London, New London Co, Connecticut. William was born October 13, 1657 in Saybrook, CT. William was the son of William Hough and Sarah Calkins. William died April 22, 1705 in New London, New London Co, Connecticut, at age 47.
