"FRED L. HILL

FLETCHER - Fred L. Hill, 64, 4875 E. Snodgrass Road, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at 10:57 p.m. in the emergency room at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Born Dec. 15, 1936, in Piqua,, he was the son of Willis and Pauline (Lane) Hill. On July 1, 1956, he married the former Margaret Sotherland and she survives with a daughter, Mrs. Doug (Luetta) Landis of Piqua; two sons, Jim and Tom, also of Piqua; five grandchildren and one sister, Margie Mathews of Smyrna, GA. One brother preceded him in death. Mr. Hill, a lifelong farmer and former Brown Township Trustee, was a charter member of the Brown Township Emergency Squad and a 23-year member of the Fletcher Fire Department. He was also a member of Fletcher United Methodist Church, the Shelby County Antique Power Association and the Ohio Chapter of International Harvester Collectors Association. In addition, he was a charter member of the International Harvester Collectors Worldwide and a former director of the Ohio Wheat Growers Association. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. David Chivington officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery."
