Information per The Genealogical Record of George and Elizabeth Caven Miami Co., OH., Revised, 1989, p. 4, which indicates he was a carpenter and a farmer, he lived near Spring Creek, one mile north of Urbana Road, and there is a Civil War marker on his grave. Janet Worthington Leonard found a picture of a man in a Civil War uniform behind her picture of James M. and Anetta Sayres Caven. She wondered if it could be a picture of George Ross Caven.
