55. James⁵ Wilson (William⁶, James⁷) was born in Johnstone, Renfreshire, Scotland November 24, 1806. James died November 2, 1891 in Silver Creek, NY, at age 84.

He married Philena Bailey Davison 1831. Philena was born September 12, 1814 in Poullet, VT. Philena was the daughter of Henry Davison and Sarah Estey. Philena died August 7, 1868 in Silver Creek, NY, at age 53.

James was employed. It was noted that he accumulated considerable personal and real property, and that he was "a thorough-going republican" and a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.

James Wilson and Philena Bailey Davison had the following children:

56 i. Margaret⁴ Wilson. She married Rev. S. L. Mead.

57 ii. Allen Wilson. Allen died circa 1880 at age unknown.

58 iii. William Wilson was born circa 1843. William died circa 1864 at age unknown.

59 iv. Henry Davison Wilson was born December 27, 1853. Henry died July 1936 at age 82. He married Cora Thompson. Cora was born October 18, 1861. Cora died April 15, 1953 at age 91.
