812. Matthew¹² Marvin (Edward¹³, Reinold (Rynalde)¹⁴, John¹⁵, Thomas¹⁶ Mervyn, Roger¹⁷ Marvin) was born in Great Bentley, Essex, England 26 March 1600. Matthew died July 12, 1680 in Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut, at age 80.

He married Elizabeth Gregory January 1621/2 in Great Bentley, Essex, England.⁽¹⁰⁸⁸⁾ Elizabeth was born 1603 in Great Bentley, Essex, England. (Additional notes for Elizabeth Gregory⁽¹⁰⁸⁹⁾) Elizabeth died circa 1640 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, at age unknown.⁽¹⁰⁹⁰⁾ Elizabeth immigrated to April 18, 1635.

He was baptized March 26, 1600/1601 in Great Bentley, Essex, England. Matthew immigrated to April 18, 1635.⁽¹⁰⁹¹⁾ A Hartford, Connecticut founder, he was a Deputy to the General Assembly of Connecticut in 1654. His name appears on the Hartford founder's monument at Main and Gold Streets. According to Original Proprietors, he was a surveyor of Highways in 1639 and 1647, and was one of the original proprietors of Norwalk. He was also a Deputy in 1654.

817 vi. Matthew Marvin⁽¹⁰⁹⁷⁾ was born in England circa 1626.

818 vii. Sarah Marvin⁽¹⁰⁹⁸⁾ was born in Great Bentley, Essex, England 27 December 1628. Sarah died 1702 in Stratford, CT, at age 73. She married William Goodrich 4 October 1648 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. William was born 1621 Burry, St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England. William died 1676 in Wethersfield, Hartford, CT, at age 55.
